The publication comprises current estimates of population size in the Russian Federation, its regions, administrative areas and territories. Information refers to de facto (present-in-area) and de jure (resident) population with a breakdown into urban and rural population. Data are given on the distribution of cities, towns and urban settlements by the size of resident population. The publication contains data related to administrative and territorial breakdown, territory and density of population residing in the subjects of the Russian Federation.
